If this was your time, you may remember...
Gowns as required wear in class and at meals but a personal option in classes you took 'across the road'. The beginning of Dr. Morden's 22 years as Principal and an ssociation with Catharine Ridley and Don Cox that would span three decades and touch the lives of thousands of Huron students. S.H. Brownlee followed by Peggy Shortreed, the first two Women's Wardens. Honours programs introduced beginning in English, History, French and Philosophy. The openings of Brough Hall, Hellmuth Hall, the Kingsmill Common Room and the SAC. The beginning of a series of pranks - VW Beetles and Minis in the Chapel, 'bricking in' the main bridge across the Thames, the cow that got 'walked up' to the third floor of O'Neil (but not as easily back down), the Chapel bell rung late at night by an unseen hand at the end of fishing line originating in the ditch across Western Road - all of which took on mythic proportions in their retelling in the years to come.
