Remembering Huron - Cross-country Skiing

I have many fond memories of Huron but one that perhaps you won't hear often about is cross-country skiing in the valley below the College. The natural location of the College is spectacular and not to be forgotten. We used to go out a couple times a week and end up visiting the 'girls' in Brough on the way back. Sometimes they even joined us.

I remember the same. The ability to put your skis on at the back door behind the refectory, head down the hill and disappear into the forest. I have some great pictures somewhere of a sunny day of deep snow with Andrew Blaikie and Tim Forster. It didn't quite make up for my "downhill sabbatical", but it sure helped.
