Profile: Beverley Paterson Wood
Huron's Library - "A wonderful place to study and contributes to the joys of learning."
Beverley Paterson Wood chose to create an endowment to support Huron's Silcox Memorial Library because Huron has played a such special part in her life. As a student, Beverley worked in the library at Huron and has been involved with local libraries in her professional career. "I feel the Silcox Memorial Library is a very important part of the university," she says. "It's a wonderful place to study and contributes to the joys of learning."
Beverley has also served Huron for many years as a member of its Alumni Association, including a term as President. She was most recently elected a Lifetime Member of the Huron University College Corporation. Through Huron's faculty and students, "you find and benefit from a fascinating cross-section of humanity," she says.
